About CRON Specialties
CRON Specialties based in Moorhead, MN, started with an idea. The idea was to fix a problem faced by embalmers and funeral directors world wide. The problem was the absence of a strong and durable plastic garment that would not tear or leak and was not bulky when applied prior to dressing a deceased person. The problem was solved using a heat shrinkable plastic. After much trial and error and many manufacturing difficulties, the CRON Specialties BodyGuard was developled.
BodyGuard Founder
The BodyGuard was invented by our founder and CEO Ron Gresham, who is a proud US Air Force Veteran and has served in the funeral service industry for over 40 years embalming thousands of bodies. He understands the difficulties and problems a leaky body presents so he set out to solve the problem. Ron invented what is known as the BodyGuard, a full body plastic union type garment that can be shrunk to the body using heat from a standard heat gun. The invention came about in 2018 and with much trial and error he developed a process to mass produce the product so embalmers and funeral professionals all over the world can use to correct many of the problems caused by the existing plastic garments currently on the market. The BodyGuard was designed for use on the most difficult cases embalmers face.
